Food Drive for Northern Dakota County Communities

Communities around the state are hosting food drives to support Minnesota FoodShare’s March Campaign: http://www.mnfoodshare.org/marchcampaign


Now through April 30th the City of Inver Grove Heights will host two donation bins to collect non-perishable food items and toiletries! Items will be donated to Neighbors Inc. (www.neighborsmn.org), a non-profit who provides emergency and supportive assistance to Northern Dakota County communities. Collection bins are located at the entrance of City Hall (8150 Barbara Ave) and at the Community Center (8055 Barbara Ave) near The Grove. Your participation is greatly appreciated!


Here is a list of their Most Wanted Items: (but please note any non-perishable food item or toiletry will gladly be accepted)

  • Canned soup
  • Canned fruit
  • Canned vegetables
  • Canned meat
  • Rice
  • Pancake mix and syrup
  • Flour or Masa
  • Cooking Oil
  • Toiletries
