June's Spotlight Artist Lanny Ross

Lanny Ross 1

St. Paul native Lanny Ross, a graduate of Cretin high School and Macalester College, is a retired businessman who specialized in domestic and international travel and marketing management.
Today, he continues to apply abstract forms to canvas—utilizing mostly acrylic and mixed media—featuring a high number of visual recollections of scenes and sights throughout his professional and personal areas of travel visited.
Ross enthusiastically expects that these numerous travel impressions will continue to provide diverse and unique abstract painting subject-matter for years to come.  He has many large, abstract paintings displayed in diverse residential collections in the Twin Cities—from Cathedral Hill to Lake Minnetonka, and from Duluth, Rochester, Lacrosse--and elsewhere in the U.S. and overseas.  Highlighted locally are such displays as the 11 large, abstract paintings purchased by the owners of the Wild Onion Restaurant on Grand Avenue, the residential and business collectors/owners of the Cherokee Tavern Sirloin Room in West St. Paul and those owned by international collectors in ranging from Chicago, New York, London, Madrid, Johannesburg, Singapore, Manila, Hong Kong and Melbourne.
